MS-DRG relative weight
The MS-DRG relative weight compares the average cost of one inpatient group with the average cost of all groups. A weight above 1 is costlier than average. The FY2027 correction notice lists the weights in Table 5, dated September 23, 2026. Groups 998 and 999 have no weight. The lookup is at /drg.
