Is Zoom HIPAA compliant?

Only on a plan where the vendor signs a BAA. Zoom is not HIPAA compliant on its own. Pro: Zoom says you accept the BAA yourself at checkout on the healthcare pricing page, or enable it later in Plan Management. Business, Business Plus, and Enterprise: Zoom says to contact Sales to sign a BAA when purchasing this plan. Basic (free): no BAA. Zoom describes BAAs for its healthcare plans and other paid plans, which leaves out the free Basic plan.

Questions
Will Zoom sign a BAA?
Yes. Zoom's support article says Zoom enters into business associate agreements with customers, including healthcare customers, on its Pro, Business, Business Plus, and Enterprise plans and other paid plans.
How do we get a BAA from Zoom?
On the Pro plan, Zoom says you select the United States Agreement (BAA) option at checkout and accept it. For Business, Business Plus, and Enterprise plans, Zoom says to contact Sales. Existing healthcare plan customers can enable the BAA in Plan Management.
Is the free Zoom Basic plan covered?
Zoom describes BAAs for its healthcare plans and other paid plans. The free Basic plan is not one of them.
Does Zoom train AI models on our meeting content?
Zoom says it does not use customers' audio, video, chat, screen sharing, attachments, or similar communications content to train its own or third party AI models. Rivvi is an AI workspace for healthcare teams. Rivvi's free organization plan (you and 2 colleagues) includes a HIPAA BAA.
