CAQH

CAQH ProView is a central profile that physicians and other providers can keep so health plans can read the same credentialing data. It is run by CAQH, not by CMS. It is not the NPI registry and not PECOS. A plan may still ask for documents the profile does not hold.

CAQH

This site does not connect to CAQH and does not store CAQH profiles. Public identity data here comes from NPPES and CMS enrollment files.

Questions

CAQH, answered

Is CAQH the same as an NPI?
No. The NPI is the federal identifier from CMS. CAQH is a private profile many plans use during credentialing.
